Media is invited to cover the 2026 Pinstripe 5K brought to you by Sequel, taking place on Saturday, May 16 at Yankee Stadium. Participants will navigate a route that includes Yankee Stadium’s concourses, ramps and the warning track before reaching a picturesque finish line in the Great Hall. The first heat of the race is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
Media will be able to capture video, photos and interviews. Additionally, media can arrange to run the race as part of their reporting.
The majority of the route is covered, and the race will take place rain or shine. All runners will receive personalized, chip-enabled bibs to ensure accurate statistics. Timing mats will be placed throughout the course, and results will be available online following the event. All participants will also receive a race medal and a Yankees Pinstripe 5K shirt. New in 2026, photography — free of charge — will be available to participants following the race. Runners should note that bags will not be permitted inside Yankee Stadium, however fanny packs will be allowed (Specifications are noted on the registration page).
Friends and family are welcome at the event to cheer on participants, and there is no fee for spectator attendance. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., spectators can enter Yankee Stadium via the Suite Entrance, which is located adjacent to Gate 4 at the corner of E. 161st St. and Jerome Ave. Spectators will be allowed to bring in bags in accordance with the Yankee Stadium Entry and Carry-In Policy.
Virtual participation is available for fans who live outside the metro-New York area and for those who prefer to run the 5K at a time that better fits their schedules. All virtual participants will receive a bib, T-shirt and medal.
Fans can learn more at www.yankees.com/upcomingevents. Those interested in participating in the race can put their names on a waitlist for a spot. The event is currently sold out with approximately 2,500 runners anticipated to take part.
