March 22nd, 2019

MLB and Game of Thrones are partnering #ForTheThrone in celebration of the final season of Game of Thrones. This is the third consecutive year the two have teamed up for a series of theme nights and giveaways based on the hit TV show.

Nineteen teams are already confirmed for Game of Thrones theme nights during the course of the final season throughout April and May -- the Braves, D-backs, Orioles, Red Sox, Reds, Rockies, Cubs, White Sox, Tigers, Royals, Brewers, Twins, Mets, Phillies, Mariners, Cardinals, Giants, Astros and Rangers.

The dates and details for all those teams' Game of Thrones theme nights can be found at mlb.com/got. Some of the highlights include:

The Mets will give out a Noah Syndergaard Game of Thrones bobblehead to the first 25,000 fans at their theme night on April 27 at Citi Field. The imposing pitcher made a cameo on an episode of Game of Thrones as a Lannister soldier in 2017.

Fans attending the Giants' Game of Thrones Night on May 20 at Oracle Park will get a "House Bochy" bobblehead featuring manager Bruce Bochy ruling from the show's iconic Iron Throne. VIP tickets will also include a Brandon Crawford Dragon bobblehead.

At the Braves' theme night on April 12, they'll be giving out "Throne of Jones" T-shirts featuring Chipper Jones atop the Iron Throne as King of the NL East.

Other teams, such as the Red Sox (April 22 at Fenway Park), Brewers (April 20 at Miller Park) and Cardinals (April 9 at Busch Stadium), will also be giving away special team-themed Game of Thrones T-shirts on their respective theme nights.

The Royals' "Game of Thrones Day at the K" at Kauffman Stadium on April 14 will include a Royals Ice Dragon bobblehead, with the dragon perched on a Royals crown.

The Iron Throne itself will also be making the rounds to MLB stadiums for fans to take pictures.

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premieres April 14 on HBO. The #ForTheThrone campaign is a multiphase global marketing campaign leading into the final season of Game of Thrones. The campaign, which includes social stunts, experiential, pro-social and international activations, brand partnerships and more, kicked off in November, introducing the #ForTheThrone hashtag and galvanizing fans and brands to profess what they would do “For the Throne”.
