Thomas’ high-flying heroics robbed the Angels’ Jo Adell of a home run in the first inning of Sunday's thrilling 9-7 Los Angeles win.

Adell’s hard liner left the bat at 96.5 mph and would have been a homer in 14 of the other 19 MLB parks, per Statcast. Thomas, the right fielder, got a quick jump, moved toward the warning track and timed his leap perfectly without ever taking his eyes off the ball. He landed with his back squarely on the top of the short wall, with his glove extended backwards, before crashing to the ground.

Thomas held his glove up triumphantly, and starter Jack Perkins matched it with a raised fist. All Adell -- already rounding the bases -- could do was watch in disbelief.
