Injury: Right foot injury

Expected return: Hopefully July 24
Status: Fouled ball off foot in fourth inning of Game 1 of doubleheader on July 22, but played entire game. Was in lineup for Game 2, but was scratched because of the injury. (Last updated: July 22)
1B Spencer Horwitz
Injury: Left hamstring strain
IL date: June 25 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Late July
Status: Removed from game June 24 with hamstring discomfort after running the bases on a double-play ball in the third inning. Diagnosed with strain after ultrasound and MRI. Expected to begin rehab assignment week of July 27. (Last updated: July 19)
C Endy Rodríguez
Injury: Left glute strain
IL date: July 8 (10-day IL, retroactive July 6)
Expected return: Late July
Status: Placed on IL after injury continued to act up after initially popping up Fourth of July weekend. Began hitting in Pirate City on July 17 and is expected to begin rehab assignment week of July 27. (Last updated: July 19)
LHP Evan Sisk
Injury: Left elbow inflammation
IL date: July 4 (15-day IL, retroactive to July 1)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Sisk began experiencing some discomfort during June 29-July 5 road trip. Pirates expect to learn more about the extent of the injury when they return home. No surgery needed and expected to begin throwing progression on July 18. (Last updated: July 19)
OF Oneil Cruz
Injury: Left hand fourth and fifth metacarpal non-displaced fractures
IL date: June 10 (60-day IL, retroactive to June 8)
Expected return: End of July

SS Konnor Griffin
Injury: Torn left ring finger sagittal band
IL date: July 7 (transferred to 60-day IL on July 11)
Expected return: Early September
Status: Injured the finger on a diving play in Pittsburgh's game on July 5. After imaging, the injury is to the left hand ring finger sagittal band, and will sideline Griffin until at least September. He'll have a splint for six weeks. (Last updated: July 11) More >>
RHP Chris Devenski
Injury: Undisclosed illness
IL date: May 7 (transferred to 60-day IL on June 7)
Expected return: Maybe late July
Status: Transferred from 15-day IL to 60-day on June 7 to make room for infielder Davis Wendzel on the 40-man roster. Began side progression the first week of June. Expected to throw live batting practice first week of July. (Last updated: June 23)
