Calling your shot at the plate is one thing, but on defense?

That’s exactly what third baseman Bill LeRoy of the Coastal Plain League’s Savannah Bananas did Saturday while mic’d up against the Macon Bacon.

“He’s going to roll it over, I’m going to backhand it on the second hop and Manny Machado underhand throw to first,” said LeRoy, who recently delighted fans by serving as his own PA announcer before an at-bat.

Seconds later, LeRoy indeed got a ground ball down the third-base line, backhanded it on the second hop and fired an off-balance throw to first base to get the first out of the inning.

LeRoy excitedly pointed up to the broadcast booth after completing the unbelievable play.

“I literally just called that!” he said.
