Frisco RoughRiders (Double-A)

Players we could see in MLB in 2023
Carter is so advanced at the plate and keeps developing faster than expected, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him reach Texas before turning 21 in late August. Second baseman is close to ready but the Rangers are deep in big league infielders. Church could make the jump as a reliever.

New faces
Right-handers and will make their official pro debuts after signing for a combined $8.9 million as Texas' top two selections in the 2022 Draft, though Rocker did see action in the independent Frontier League and the Arizona Fall League. Signed for $3.2 million in January, Bahamian shortstop looked spectacular during Minor League spring training and will play in Rookie ball this summer.

On the shelf
Outfielder injured his right (throwing) elbow in the AFL and required internal brace surgery that will keep him from reporting to Double-A until mid-May. Right-hander had minor knee surgery after getting injured this spring on a pickoff play and also will head to Frisco on roughly the same timetable.
