Named the New York Mets 2023 Minor League Pitcher of the Year after making 19 starts across three levels in the season and posting a 5-4 record with a 2.57 ERA (25 ER/87.2 IP) with 12 walks and 107 strikeouts...Loves hockey and is a fan of the Florida Panthers...His favorite player is Aleksander Barkov...He got to meet him when he ran into him at the local Publix...While seeking a third pitch, looked at Pitching Ninja video and discovered the slider grip used by Max Scherzer...It's still the grip he uses today...Attended the University of Florida where he made 55 appearances including five starts...Over the course of his three-year career, he posted a 12-5 record, three saves, 3.72 ERA, .242 batting average against and 111 strikeouts against 33 walks in 121 innings...Helped lead Calvary Christian to the 2018 4A State Title...In his high school career, went 22-2 with a 1.64 ERA over 183 innings; totaled 223 strikeouts and 55 walks...Was a member of the USA Baseball 2016 17U National Team Development Program.

Underwent right elbow UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace...The procedure was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas on Sept. 23...Finished his rookie season going 0-3 with a 4.56 ERA (24 ER/47.1 IP), adding 39 strikeouts and 12 walks before being placed on the IL with a sprained UCL in his right elbow...Underwent right elbow UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace...The procedure was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas on Sept. 23...Made his Major League debut on May 4 in Tampa Bay, throwing 6.2 innings and allowing just one run, adding six strikeouts and one walk...Recorded a career-high eight strikeouts on May 11 against Atlanta, throwing six innings and allowing just three runs.

Held opposing hitters to a .199 batting average and posted 10.98 strikeouts per nine innings...Started for the Rumble Ponies in Game One of the Northeast Division Series.

Split his time between A St. Lucie and A+ Brooklyn with a combined 4.45 ERA in 18 appearances.
