Married his wife Trinity Carroll in 2024 in North Carolina...He and Trinity welcomed their first child, Audrey, on New Year's Eve during the 2025-26 offseason...Graduated from Terry Sanford HS in Fayetteville, N.C. where he earned all-conference honors three times and all-region twice...Was a member of his high school's bowling team and he earned all-conference honors while finishing third in the state individual championships...His father Marty was an eighth-round pick of the White Sox in 1985 out of Campbell University...Marty posted a 2.57 ERA (38 ER/133.1 IP), reaching Single-A in two seasons in Chicago's system... Spent his junior and senior seasons at UNC-Wilmington after attending Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh, NC for his first two seasons...In his two seasons at UNC-Wilmington, he posted a 10-5 record and had a 4.03 ERA (44 ER/98.1 IP)...As a senior he made 28 relief appearances and finished with an 8-0 record and a 1.75 ERA in 51.1 innings.

2025

During eight stints with the Mets, he made five appearances and had a 1-0 record with a 0.96 ERA (ER/9.1 IP), nine strikeouts and four walks...Made his Mets debut on May 4 at St. Louis (G1) when he pitched a scoreless seventh inning (1.0 IP, BB)...Earned his first win of the season after tossing 2.1 scoreless innings on June 26 vs. Atlanta…Became the seventh player in MLB history to record at least seven wins and no losses through their first 40 career games, joining Daysbel Hernández, Slim Love, Joe Pate, Allyn Stout, Jeff Zimmerman and Rob Murphy...Marked his first Major League win since April 23, 2023 vs. Kansas City while with the Angels...Threw a career-high four scoreless innings in his final Major League outing of the season, Aug. 3 vs. San Francisco...Made 34 appearances (four starts) for Triple-A Syracuse and went 8-4 with a 4.97 ERA (28 ER/50.2 IP) 58 strikeouts and 19 walks.

2024

Began the season on the 60-day injured list recovering from right elbow UCL surgery...Made six relief appearances for the Giants during his two Major League stints and didn't receive any decisions while recording a 1.69 ERA (2 ER/10.2 IP).

2023

Opened the season at Triple-A Salt Lake in the Angels organization...appeared in five games for the Bees and worked 7.0 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts...Had his contract selected by the Angels on April 21 and made two appearances for the Angels...Was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 26 with right elbow inflammation...was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 28 and missed the rest of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

2022

Made Opening Day roster with Angels for first time in career... Totaled seven appearances in April and earned two winning decisions, before suffering a nasal fracture May 3 at Boston after being hit in the nose by a foul ball during Red Sox batting practice... Underwent surgery May 10 to repair nasal fracture and ultimately missed 38 games on injured list...Pitched in four games on rehab assignment at Triple-A Salt Lake before returning to Angels June 12... After two appearances following return, was placed back on injured list June 18 with a right triceps strain and missed 20 games on IL...Pitched in five games during second rehab stint with Salt Lake June 28 - July 6... Pitched in five games in July for Angels before being optioned back to Salt Lake July 27 and remained with Bees for remainder of season... Ultimately pitched to a 2.12 ERA (34 IP - 8 ER) across 29 total Minor League outings with Bees.

2021

Began season at Triple-A Salt Lake and recorded 4+ outs in 14 of 22 appearances...In final six games with Bees, pitched to a 2.70 ERA (13.1 IP - 4 ER) and 20 SO...Made Major League debut with Angels pn July 29 vs. Oakland and tossed 1.1 perfect innings...Entered game inheriting the bases loaded with two outs in seventh inning and retired Ramon Laureano on a groundout...Recorded first career strikeout vs. Sean Murphy to end eighth inning...Became third pitcher in Angels history to inherit bases loaded in MLB debut and strand all three runners, joining John Verhoeven (July 6, 1976, vs. CLE) and Vern Geishert (Aug. 26, 1969, at CLE)...Did not allow an earned run in 13 of 16 Major League appearances and yielded just four total earned runs across his 20.1 innings pitched (1.77 ERA)...Also stranded 10 of 13 inherited runners (77%)...Earned first Major League win in relief Aug. 6 at Dodger Stadium, after retiring seven of eight batters faced...Recorded first career save Aug. 19 at Detroit with two perfect innings pitched...Missed 22 games on injured list from Aug. 25-Sept. 20.
