HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Astros announced today four new bobblehead giveaway dates and an Apollo 11 Mission 50th Anniversary Night in the upcoming months.
With bobbleheads being the fan favorite promotional item, the Astros are excited to add more unique giveaways to this year’s lineup. The four new bobblehead giveaways include:
August 21 vs. Detroit Tigers: Josh Reddick "On-Base" bobblehead, presented by Veritex Community Banks (10,000 fans)
August 24 vs. Los Angeles Angels: Collin McHugh "Dodges Baseball" bobblehead, presented by Germania Insurance (15,000 fans)
Sept. 18 vs. Texas Rangers: Michael Brantley bobblehead (10,000 fans)
Sept. 21 vs. Los Angeles Angels: Carlos Correa "Puerto Rico Flag" bobblehead (20,000 fans), in honor of Hispanic Heritage month celebrated at Minute Maid Park the weekend of Sept. 20-22.
Apollo at the Park: July 22
The Astros are also proud to announce a special theme night celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission on July 22. The theme-night will feature a special-edition Orbit ‘Moon-Landing’ bobblehead as a $30 ticket add-on for any fan with a July 22 ticket.
The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum (NASM) has teamed up with several MLB ballparks around the country to celebrate "Apollo at the Park," which is a part of the NASM’s programming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Apollo at the Park involves using 3D scan data of Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit to create 15 replica spacesuit “statues” to be installed in MLB ballparks across the country.
In addition to the space suit, the Astros are also collaborating with NASA’s Johnson Space Center to bring several interactive displays to Minute Maid Park. Fans with a July 22 ticket will be able to visit the mobile exhibit trailer and space exploration unit out on the Plaza on Crawford Street from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. For the most up-to-date information regarding this theme night or to purchase the ticket add-on, visit astros.com/apollo11.

As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site.
