Phillies release 2023 season schedule

Set to host Cincinnati Reds for Home Opener on April 6

Most weeknight games begin at 6:40 p.m.

Plus, Red Sox, Cubs, Dodgers, Mets, Padres and Cardinals among weekend matchups at Citizens Bank Park

Earlier today, Major League Baseball announced its 2023 regular season schedule, which for the first time will feature the Phillies playing every team in the American and National Leagues, either home or away.

In addition, most weeknight games Monday through Thursday will now begin at 6:40 p.m. Friday games will start at 7:05 p.m.

“With the new schedule format, our fans are in for a lot of exciting baseball both at Citizens Bank Park and on our broadcasts,” said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations & Projects John Weber. “As usual, our games will also feature a terrific promotional lineup, which we will reveal in the upcoming months.”

The 2023 Phillies Schedule

The Phillies will start their season on the road against the Texas Rangers on March 30-April 2 and New York Yankees on April 3-5. The team will then host the Cincinnati Reds for its Home Opener on April 6 at 3:05 p.m., with the series continuing that weekend on April 8-9. A three-game series with the Miami Marlins will follow on April 10-12. April concludes with games against the Colorado Rockies on April 20-23 and Seattle Mariners on April 25-27.

The schedule also features weekend matchups with opponents including the Boston Red Sox on May 5-7, Chicago Cubs on May 19-21, Los Angeles Dodgers on June 9-11, New York Mets on June 23-25, Washington Nationals on June 30-July 2 and San Diego Padres on July 14-16, with a day-night doubleheader on July 15. August and September will also include several weekend games at home, where the Phillies will take on the Kansas City Royals on August 4-6, Minnesota Twins on August 11-13, St. Louis Cardinals on August 25-27 and Marlins on September 8-10.

Another season highlight: the Phillies will head up to Williamsport, Pa., to take on the Nationals in the 2023 MLB Little League Classic on Sunday, August 20, which will air nationally on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball.”

Also coming to town in August will be two West Coast teams: the San Francisco Giants on August 21-23 and Los Angeles Angels on August 28-30.

The Phillies will play their final homestand of the regular season with a four-game weekend matchup against the Mets on September 21-24 and Pittsburgh Pirates on September 26-28.

The club will wrap up the regular season on the road with a three-game weekend series against the Mets on September 29-October 1.
