Get ready for more fan fun: Phillies take on Nationals from April 8-10

April 7th, 2019

It’s the second series against the Washington Nationals – but this time the Philadelphia Phillies are hosting, April 8-10, at Citizens Bank Park! Come join the excitement and cheer on Bryce Harper and the hometown team, as well as take part in all the fan fun surrounding the games. Here’s a look at what’s happening around the ballpark:

1. On Monday, April 8, the Phillies will be taking on the Nationals at 7:05 p.m., during the team’s annual Asian Pacific Celebration featuring ethnic foods, music and dancing. The event includes a Theme Night Ticket offer here. Plus, the game will feature the first Phillies Miller Lite Monday special of the season.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., enjoy Platinum Bhangra Dream Dancers at the Third Base Plaza (adjacent to the newly-opened Pass and Stow), as well as the Philadelphia Suns, who will be roaming the concourse, and Kyo Daiko Drummers, who will perform near the Left Field Plaza. Also, fans are invited to try Asian Pacific ethnic foods at the concession stand behind Section 105.

At 6:30 p.m., the Phillies Asian Pacific Celebration continues on-field, featuring music by Philippine Folk Arts Society, Inc. Rondalla, dancing by Modero Dance Company and acrobatic stunts demonstrated by Li Liu.

Also happening: for every Phillies Monday home game, Miller Lite 24-ounce cans will be offered at a discounted price of $12 at various concession locations throughout the ballpark.

2. On Tuesday, April 9, it’s the first Hatfield Phillies Franks Dollar Dog Night of the season during that night’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Nationals. Plus, Miss USA gets to dance with the Phanatic – and postgame fun continues at Pass and Stow!

For the second time this season, the Phanatic will use his hot dog launcher! Be on the lookout for flying hot dogs at the end of the 5th inning.

At the end of the 7th inning, Miss USA Sarah Rose Summers will dance with the Phillie Phanatic.

After the game, head to Pass and Stow as DJ Nathaniel Jones performs, and enjoy the outdoor beer garden, Foundry Pizza, Goose Island at the Park outdoor bar, indoor sports pub and more.
