D-backs announce details for Opening Day on April 6

Fans encouraged to arrive early, enjoy street festival and be in seats by 6 pm! Limited tickets still available

The Arizona Diamondbacks will kick off their 25th Anniversary 2023 season with Opening Day tomorrow vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:10 p.m. at Chase Field.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early due to the downtown events schedule and to get the full Opening Day experience featuring the Street Festival, presented by Waymo, the first home opener for Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar and Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Patio, and pregame festivities.

Gates Open: 4:30 p.m.!

When: Thursday, April 6, at 7:10 p.m.

In Seats: Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early and should plan to be in their seats by 6 p.m. to enjoy the Opening Day festivities, including a Luke Air Force Base flyover and first pitch with Phoenix Police Officer and Local Hero Tyler Moldovan.

Promotion: The first 30,000 fans will receive a 25th Anniversary Opening Day Rally Towel to commemorate the day.

Parking: To reserve parking before you go, visit dbacks.com/parking**. The parking garages will not accept cash, so be sure to have a credit or debit card if not reserving in advance.**

Roof: The roof is expected to be open. Temperatures are forecast to be a perfect 81 degrees and drop throughout the night, so fans should dress accordingly.

Clear Bag Policy: The Clear Bag Policy is still in effect. Information on the policy can be found here. The D-backs have teamed up with Binbox to provide a secure, convenient storage option for fans with non-approved bags to store for a fee.

Fan Entry & Screening: Getting fans into the ballpark safely and more efficiently is a priority. Chase Field will continue to utilize OPENGATE: a safe, fast, automatic & unprecedented screening system that does away with unloading bags, backpacks and purses. Fans will pass effortlessly through the gates to their seats in record speed like never before.

Opening Day Street Festival: The 2023 season marks the return of the Opening Day Street Festival, presented by Waymo. Fans are invited to welcome the 2023 season with great music, food and drinks from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m., prior to the first game of the season. This is a family-friendly event.

Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar: It’s the first D-backs Opening Day for Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar.

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers: Fans can now purchase tickets to watch the game from the patio at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers at dbacks.com/CBCB.

Ceremonial First Pitch: Local hero and Phoenix Police Officer Tyler Moldovan, who is recovering since being shot multiple times on December 14, 2021, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Moldovan was in his first year as an officer and had graduated from the police academy less than a year prior.

Anthem: The national anthem will be performed by Phoenix’s own Dr. Jesse McGuire, who’s known for his trumpet performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, which he’s played for three U.S. presidents and at sporting events including the 2000 Daytona 500, game 7 of the 2001 World Series, and more.

Color Guard: The Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard will present the colors for the National Anthem.

Flyover: Unit: Luke Air Force Base – 63rd Fighter Squadron. Aircraft: 4 x F-35. This flyover will be led by Lt. Colonel Jeremy “Thumper” Hedges and will be his last flyover before he retires after 21 years of service, having flown over 2,900 hours in the F-35, F-16 and T-37.

Food & Beverage: Chase Field has many new and exciting food and beverage options and returning fan favorites this season! With the popularity of the VS. Dogs, Chef Tilder will be bringing back some favorites and has created seven new dogs for the 2023 season. Bar-S has joined as the official hot dog of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

New Dining Partners: The D-backs have added new experiences to the dining options at Chase Field, including Casamigos Bar & DJ Booth at Section 104 and El Mayor Tequila at Sections 127 and 140.

Value at the Park: Value items are $2.99 everyday at Doubleheaders concession stands. Items include 12 oz. soda, corn dog, value dog and popcorn. More information can be found here.
