June 17th, 2021

On Monday, June 21, the top high school softball players from the Tri-State area will get the chance to showcase their skills during the Phillies Softball Carpenter Cup presented by Nike, being held at the team’s MLB Urban Youth Academy at FDR Park.

“We’re so excited for the return of our Softball Carpenter Cup presented by Nike,” said Monica Clark, Phillies Youth Softball Development. “The young women competing in this tournament are tremendous athletes. We wish all of the teams the best of luck as they aim to advance to the championship game.”

Approximately 250 softball all-stars will play in this 31-game tournament, which features 16 teams representing 17 different leagues. The Phillies Softball Carpenter Cup, recognized nationally as a top tournament, has been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships and admission to some of the country’s finest universities.

There is free admission and parking, with the field entrance from Pattison Avenue (just off Broad Street). This is the 16th year of the Phillies Softball Carpenter Cup, with SOL/BAL winning 2019’s tournament and 2020 being canceled due to the pandemic.

In addition, the Phillies will also be hosting their Baseball Carpenter Cup championship games on June 21 and June 24 at Citizens Bank Park, where the top high school all-star baseball teams will compete in front of college scouts.
