Detroit-area youth invited to register for Detroit Tigers Summer Baseball and Softball Camps, presented by Nike

Five-day camp sessions to begin June 28 and run through late August at nine locations across metro Detroit and in East Lansing

DETROIT – Detroit-area youth and young Tigers fans across the state of Michigan are invited to register for the Detroit Tigers Summer Baseball and Softball Camps, presented by NIKE, which will run from late-June thru late-August at nine locations throughout the Metro Detroit region, and one session in East Lansing.

Detroit Tigers Summer Baseball and Softball Camps, now in their third year of operation, are open to boys and girls aged 6-14, and of all skill levels. Each camp will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday thru Friday of each session.

Weekly registration costs $395, with proceeds benefiting the Detroit Tigers Foundation and its mission of enhancing lives through the games of baseball and softball with a focus on youth, education and recreation. Discounts are available, including for families registering more than one camper at the same time. Registration for all nine sessions is currently available at Tigers.com/Camps.

The health and safety of campers and staff is the Detroit Tigers’ top priority, and the club has developed a comprehensive plan that will continue to adhere to local and state guidelines, and Major League Baseball COVID-19 protocols.

Detroit Tigers Summer Baseball and Softball Camps provide participants 30 hours of instruction, an official Tigers uniform (jersey, pants, hat and belt), four tickets to a future Tigers game at Comerica Park, a graduation certificate and much more.

Camps are managed by Executive Director and veteran youth baseball camp director Tim Rappé. All camp instructors are SafeSport trained as required by MLB.
