MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – With last Thursday’s announcement from Governor Tim Walz outlining a three-step timeline to end nearly all state COVID-19 restrictions, the Minnesota Twins today detailed their own multi-phased ramp up to full capacity for home games at Target Field, along with corresponding ticket details.

For the 12 Twins home games scheduled between May 14-30, Target Field will operate at up to 60 percent capacity (tickets are on sale now); for the club’s 12 home contests in June, there will be up to 80 percent capacity; lastly, beginning on July 5, Target Field will have full, 100 percent capacity for the Twins’ final 40 regular season home games of 2021.Tickets for the final 52 scheduled regular season home games, beginning June 8, will go on sale to the general public beginning at noon CT on Thursday, May 20. Please note that all planned capacity changes are subject to change, per future public health guidance.

Phase One: Games from May 14-30 (60 percent capacity)

Beginning when the Twins host the Oakland Athletics this Friday, May 14, Target Field will operate at up to 60 percent capacity for the remainder of the month. Tickets for these 12 home games between May 14-30 will still be sold in “pods” of two (2) or four (4) contiguous seats; however, fans will now also be seated in the middle of rows and in locations nearer the aisles. Tickets are available for the 12 games between May 14-30 now via twinsbaseball.com or the MLB Ballpark app.

Phases Two & Three: Games from June 8-27 (80 percent capacity) and July 5-end of season (full capacity)

Starting with the Twins’ homestand opener on Tuesday, June 8 vs. the New York Yankees, Target Field will operate at up to 80 percent capacity, with Twins Season Ticket Holders returning to their standard, normal seat locations for all remaining 2021 regular season home games in their plans. Target Field will open to full, 100 percent capacity beginning with the Twins’ July 5 contest vs. the Chicago White Sox.

Tickets for the Twins’ final 52 scheduled regular season home games (from June 8 through September 30) will go on sale to the general public beginning at noon CT on Thursday, May 20. Beginning with the June 8 game, tickets will no longer be restricted to pods, but will be available in all quantities, and in locations throughout Target Field, at up to nineteen (19) per purchaser, per game.

A limited number of physically-distanced seats will remain available at Target Field for the duration of the 2021 season, upon request, by calling 1-800-33-TWINS.

Target Field Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

Beginning May 14, there will no longer be any physical distancing requirements at Target Field; however, fans ages two (2) and older will still be required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth at all times, except when actively eating or drinking, until further notice. Current bag policies will also remain in place until further notice, and capacity limits for Target Field’s indoor dining and bar areas will be in effect through May 26.

The Twins’ extensive cleaning, disinfecting and sanitization measures will continue throughout the season, as will the ability to pre-reserve preferred, discounted game day parking in Ramps A & B and the Hawthorne Ramp.
