What’s Happening This Weekend: Phillies vs. Royals, August 4-6

On August 4-6, the Phillies return home to take on the Kansas City Royals at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding the first three games of the upcoming 10-game homestand:

1. The series begins on Friday, August 4, with that night’s 7:05 p.m. game, featuring a Sustainable Phillies Cap presented by PGW for all fans.

  • Leine Friday: Fans 21 and older are invited to stop by Leinenkugel’s Left Field or the High and Inside Pub (behind home plate on the Terrace Level) for a koozie with the purchase of a Leinenkugel (while supplies last).

2. Get to the ballpark early on Saturday, August 5, for Coca-Cola Photo Night, featuring the chance to take photos of players, broadcasters, the Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and more on-field! Gates open at 4:05 p.m. for this special pregame event.

  • All fans receive a Coca-Cola Photo Night print.
  • Plus, there will be more Phillies alumni photo opportunities from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the photo booth located at Coca-Cola Corner in left field. Appearances will be made on a rotating basis by 2008 World Series champion manager Charlie Manuel, 1993 National League champions Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson (also a 2008 World Series champion coach), 1983 NLCS MVP Gary “Sarge” Matthews and 1980 World Series champion Greg “The Bull” Luzinski.
  • Also at Coca-Cola Corner, fans can enjoy product tasting pregame.
  • Budweiser Block Party! Enjoy pregame fun at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148.

3. On Sunday, August 6, children 14 and under will receive a Kyle Schwarber Replica Jersey presented by CP Rankin Roofing Experts at the 1:35 p.m. game.

  • Watch a live radio broadcast of the Baseball Insiders Show with Phillies John Brazer and 1993 National League champion Tommy Greene on 1490 WBCB, a Phillies radio affiliate, outside Pass and Stow near the Third Base Plaza from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
  • The national anthem and “God Bless America” will be sung by cabaret artist and orchestra leader Eddie Bruce.
  • Sergeant First Class Mark Thomas Gartner will have the honor of changing a base as he is recognized as the Rothman Hometown Hero at the end of the third inning.

4. For this series only at Coca-Cola Corner (left field), Angelo’s of Turnersville, NJ will feature their tasty Giovanni’s Arancini!

  • Offerings include buffalo chicken or spinach and mozzarella for $10.49+ tax or $16.99+ tax with Seagram’s Ginger Ale.
  • Paired with the perfect Coca-Cola beverage, 5% of all purchases of the arancini will benefit Philabundance to help fight food insecurity.

5. In honor of the upcoming Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, bid on team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia signed by current and former players during the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction on phillies.com/auctions until Monday, August 14, at 6:00 p.m.

  • Items signed by former players include: a 2008 reunion game-used Alumni Weekend base, Jimmy Rollins baseball, Shane Victorino bat, Chase Utley new 2008 World Series cap (note: not MLB authenticated) and Cliff Lee pitching rubber.
  • Signed memorabilia by current Phillies include: a Bryce Harper and Bryson Stott team-issued red alternate jersey, Seranthony Domínguez and Garrett Stubbs game-used road World Series jersey, Kyle Schwarber World Baseball Classic jersey, Nick Castellanos team-issued cream alternate home jersey, Zack Wheeler team-issued powder blue throwback jersey and team issued helmet and Rob Thomson home jersey.
  • Gate Openings: Gates open at 5:35 p.m. for Friday’s game, 4:05 p.m. for Saturday’s game, and 12:05 p.m. for Sunday’s game.
  • Broadcast: Friday’s game will be broadcast on NBC10, TeleXitos and MLB Network (out of network); Saturday’s game will be broadcast on NBC Sports; and Sunday’s game will be broadcast on NBC Sports and MLB Network (out of network). All games will be broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680. Games will also be available on com and the NBC Sports app.

  • Bag Policy: Guests are prohibited from bringing bags, including backpacks, to the ballpark. Only clutch purses (5" x 7"), fanny packs, medical bags, drawstring bags, clear or solid tote bags and diaper bags will be permitted. Medical bags, tote bags and diaper bags can be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8". Guests may discard or return the prohibited items to their vehicle or store them in a locker on Citizens Bank Way ($10 fee).
  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
  • Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay and Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
