Vice President, Assistant General Manager
Cole Figueroa is in his second full season with the Rangers after being hired as Vice President/Assistant General Manager in November 2024. In his role, Cole has responsibilities throughout the department with a focus on the day-to-day functions of the Major League club.
The 38-year-old Figueroa joined the Rangers after eight seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He served three years from 2022-24 as the Rays’ Director of Baseball Operations, where some of his responsibilities included baseball strategy, player/market evaluations, and long-term growth of baseball operations staff. He joined the Rays’ front office in November 2016 as assistant of baseball development and was later promoted to assistant director of hitting development.
A former infielder, Figueroa spent three seasons in the Majors with the Rays (2014), Yankees (2015), and Pirates (2016) before beginning his career in baseball operations. His final MLB hit came with the Pirates on May 28, 2016 at the former Globe Life Park, a single off Yu Darvish. A native of Tallahassee, Fla., he was selected by the Padres in the sixth round of the 2008 MLB Draft out of the University of Florida.
Figueroa and his wife Natalie have two sons, Coleman and Arthur, and reside in Dallas.
