MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed infielder Kaelen Culpepper on the 10-day Injured List with a left hamstring strain.
Culpepper was removed from last night’s game against the New York Yankees in the top of the seventh inning with left hamstring tightness. To replace Culpepper on the 28-man roster, the Twins have recalled infielder Ben Ross from St. Paul. Ross was optioned to the Saints on Saturday and played in three games, going 2-for-9 with two walks and two runs scored. He made his major league debut for Minnesota on September 1 and went 0-for-4 with one run scored in three games prior to his option.
