Assistant General Manager
Alex Hassan was promoted to Assistant General Manager in January 2025 after previously serving as VP, Hitting Development & Acquisitions for two seasons from 2023-24. 2026 marks Hassan's ninth season with the Twins after working as the club's Director or Player Development from 2020-22 and Assistant Director of Minor League Operations from 2018-19.
In his current role, Hassan works closely with the major league team and hitting group while continuing to collaborate with player development leaders, coordinators, and coaches on on-field strategy and skill development plans. Additionally, he is actively involved in all facets of offensive player acquisition.
Prior to joining the Twins, Hassan served as a Player Development Consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2017. The Milton, Massachusetts native was originally drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 20th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft after a successful career as a two-way player at Duke University. He played eight years professionally with the Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations. Hassan made his major league debut with Boston on June 1, 2014.
