Senior Vice President, Community Engagement
Nancy O'Brien was named Senior Vice President, Community Engagement in 2025. In her role, O'Brien leads the organization's efforts to make a lasting impact in the community. With a passion for using the power of baseball and softball to drive positive change, she oversees strategic initiatives that forge a better tomorrow through leading youth development, inclusion, and environmental sustainability programs, managing community partnerships, and fortifying fan connections through premier events.
With more than 26 years in Major League Baseball, O’Brien has been instrumental in expanding the team’s outreach programs, championing initiatives that support youth and underserved communities, and amplifying the Twins’ community and stakeholder voices. O’Brien is inspired every day by the talent and energy of the Community Engagement team whose work makes lasting impact for individuals, families and entire communities.
Prior to leading the Twins’ community department, O’Brien served as the club’s Vice President, Brand Marketing. She held a similar marketing position with the Oakland Athletics. O’Brien received her bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Olaf College and her MBA in marketing from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
