Dodgers recall Pat Venditte

Prior to Saturday's game, the Los Angeles Dodgers recalled switch-handed pitcher Pat Venditte from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed right-handed pitcher Yimi García on the 10-day disabled list with right forearm inflammation (retroactive to July 4).
Venditte, 33, will make his fifth stint with the big league club after allowing four runs over 4.1 innings (8.31 ERA) and striking out four against one walk in five appearances with Los Angeles this season. In 32 games this season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, the ambidextrous pitcher has gone 3-2 with two saves and has posted a 1.93 ERA (8 ER/37.1 IP). He has also punched out 46 against 13 walks, while limiting the opposition to a .182 average.
García, 27, has gone 1-2 with a 5.21 ERA (11 ER/19.0 IP) and has struck out 19 batters against just three walks over 19.0 innings in 20 relief appearances with the Dodgers this season.
