Dodgers to host Athletics, D-backs during 5-game homestand

Team to join all of MLB in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day on Sunday, April 15

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will open their second homestand of the season tomorrow, and will take on the Oakland Athletics (April 10-11) and Arizona Diamondbacks (April 13-15) for five games that include great promotions, fireworks and Sunday's Jackie Robinson Day festivities.

 

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will open their second homestand of the season tomorrow, and will take on the Oakland Athletics (April 10-11) and Arizona Diamondbacks (April 13-15) for five games that include great promotions, fireworks and Sunday's Jackie Robinson Day festivities.

 

The Dodgers will kick off the homestand by hosting the Athletics in Los Angeles for the first time since 2015 in their first Interleague matchup of the season Tuesday and Wednesday. The team will have promotions during both games of the series, with the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance receiving the first installment of the 60th Anniversary Collector's Card Set presented by 76 tomorrow and a hooded sweatshirt presented by Security Benefit Wednesday.

 

The D-backs series will have something for everyone with Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's, Pups at the Park on Saturday presented by AvoDerm Natural and Nylabone (sold out, more information at Dodgers.com/Pups) and Jackie Robinson Day festivities on Sunday, including a Jackie Robinson jersey giveaway presented by Bank of America. Sunday's pregame ceremonies will include current and former Jackie Robinson Foundation scholars, while students from Robinson's high school, John Muir High School, will attend the game as part of the club's Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball initiative and students from Robinson's elementary school, Cleveland Elementary School in Pasadena, will participate in Kids Take the Field presented by 99 Cents Only Stores.

  • Promotion: 60th Anniversary Collector's Card Set: The 50's and 60's presented by 76 (first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance).
  • Pregame Recognition: Corey Seager Silver Slugger Award presentation.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: LA Rams Running Back Todd Gurley.

 

Wednesday, April 11, 7:10 p.m. vs. Athletics

 

  • Promotion: Hooded Sweatshirt presented by Security Benefit (first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance).
  • Pregame Presentations: 2017 Wilson Defensive Team of the Year Award and Defensive Player of the Year (Yasiel Puig, RF).

 

Friday, April 13, 7:10 p.m. vs. D-backs

  • Post-Game Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's themed to music from the 1970's.

 

Saturday, April 14, 6:10 p.m. vs. D-backs

 

  • Special Event: Pups at the Park presented by AvoDerm Natural and Nylabone (sold out, more information at Dodgers.com/Pups). Pre-game Pup Parade starts at 5:00 p.m.

 

Sunday, April 15, 1:10 p.m. vs. D-backs

  • Jackie Robinson Day: Special pregame ceremonies to include Jackie Robinson Foundation scholars, while all on-field personnel will wear No. 42 throughout MLB.
  • Promotion: Jackie Robinson Day jersey, presented by Bank of America (first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance).
  • Post-Game Kids Run the Bases.
