At just 18, Brewers No. 1 prospect Made excels at hitting and so much more

Jesús Made simply refuses to stop hitting. But wait, there's more.

MLB’s No. 3 prospect put together his second three-hit night in his last four games as part of Double-A Biloxi's 9-5 win over Rocket City on Thursday at Keesler Federal Park. Made also drove in a couple of runs, scored once and matched a career high with three stolen bases.

The Dominican Republic native once again showcased his 60-grade hit tool, peppering one knock to each part of the outfield -- a single to right in the first, a laser to center in the fourth, and an opposite-field single to left in the eighth.

A switch-hitter, Made pairs his elite bat speed with a compact and balanced swing from both sides of the plate. Those tools helped him produce an 81 percent in-zone contact rate in 2025.

Despite being nearly five years younger than his average competition at the Double-A level, the Brewers' No. 1 prospect hasn’t skipped a beat. He's hitting .338 vs. Southern League pitching, which currently ranks in the top five on the circuit. The contact being made isn’t soft either, as evidenced by his 1.033 OPS, third-best in the league.

The 18-year-old seems to possess an incredibly mature understanding of the strike zone. This season, Made has walked more times (15) than he has struck out (12). Over his career, the shortstop boasts a 15.8 walk percentage against a 15.5 percent K rate.

Now factor in Made's 60-grade speed alongside those skills. Thursday's three thefts made him 11-for-12 on stolen-base attempts in 2026. A year ago, between Single-A, High-A and Double-A, the phenom swiped 47 bags.
