hits dingers. That’s just what the man does.

One day after Conine drilled a game-tying home run in the ninth inning, the Marlins’ No. 22 prospect went deep in both of his first two at-bats Sunday in Double-A Pensacola's 3-2 win over Biloxi.

It was the third multi-homer game of the season for Conine, who leads the Minor Leagues with 34 home runs. All three of his most recent blasts went to the opposite field.

Conine is hitting just .189 in 29 games for the Blue Wahoos and has struck out in 44.1 percent of his at-bats, but when he makes contact, it is often loud. Dating back to July 31, 10 of Conine's previous 16 hits have left the yard.

However, nothing Conine has done with the bat this year was as deafening as what occurred during his first plate appearance Sunday, when his swing was timed perfectly with a fly-by from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Conine homered two pitches later, because of course he did.
