From Homestead to Fort Lauderdale, hundreds of young athletes took the field in 2026 through Miami Marlins Nike RBI, connecting communities across South Florida through the game of baseball and softball. Overall, the Marlins Nike RBI program reached new milestones during the 2026 season, expanding opportunities for youth baseball and softball players across South Florida.
Approximately 700 athletes competed across 36 teams in the free summer program, gaining access to organized league play, quality instruction and a competitive environment designed to help players sharpen their skills, build confidence and take the next step in their game.
The Marlins Nike RBI program featured three divisions — Junior Baseball for ages 13-15, Senior Baseball for ages 13-18 and Softball for ages 13-18 — providing more ways for young athletes to stay in the game. For the first time, the Miami Marlins MLB Youth Academy fielded teams in all three divisions, marking another step in the program's continued growth.
At the heart of Marlins Nike RBI is a commitment to making the game more accessible. The program is offered at no cost to participants, with athletes receiving two uniform jerseys and essential equipment and the league providing certified umpires and a 10-game regular season. By helping remove financial barriers to organized play, Marlins Nike RBI gives young athletes throughout South Florida the chance to compete, belong to a team and experience everything the game has to offer.
For some players, the journey extends beyond the regular season. Selected athletes have the opportunity to represent Marlins Nike RBI on All-Star teams competing in the MLB RBI Southeast Regional Tournament, with the chance to advance to the Nike RBI World Series and represent South Florida on an even bigger stage.
Marlins Nike RBI helps expand access to baseball and softball with a focus on underserved youth and communities. Across South Florida, that mission comes to life by using the game as a platform to encourage athletic development, academic achievement, character and social responsibility.
