Stro gives Jazz piggyback after out

They may have been wearing opposing uniforms, but for one play at least, Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman and Marlins shortstop Jazz Chisholm Jr. seemed like best buds.

Facing Stroman in the top of the fifth of Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader, Chisholm rapped a sharp grounder to first base. Stroman took the feed from Pete Alonso on the run to get the second out of the inning, but Chisholm was busting up the line and pitcher and batter nearly collided. Instead of trying to get out of the way, 5-foot-7 Stroman hoisted the 5-foot-11, 184-pound Chisholm up on his back while their momentum carried them past the base.

Both players were beaming after the impromptu piggyback, and they high-fived as Chisholm made his way to the Marlins' dugout. What is Citi Field but a big backyard anyway?
