Mets Acquire RHP Eric Hanhold from Brewers

The New York Mets announced today that they have acquired RHP Eric Hanhold from the Milwaukee Brewers as the player to be named later to complete the August 12 trade involving Neil Walker.

The New York Mets announced today that they have acquired RHP Eric Hanhold from the Milwaukee Brewers as the player to be named later to complete the August 12 trade involving Neil Walker.
 
Hanhold, 23, went 8-3 with two saves and a 3.94 ERA (28 earned runs/64.0 innings) in 30 games, three starts for Carolina (A) of the Carolina League in 2017. The 6-5, 220-pounder struck out 60 and issued 21 walks this season. He went 5-1 with a 1.53 ERA (five earned runs/29.1 innings) and 32 strikeouts in 17 games in the second half for the Mudcats.
 
Hanhold was the Brewers sixth-round pick in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft from the University of Florida.
 
He is 10-20 with a 5.01 ERA (112 earned runs/201.1 innings) over 60 minor league games, 30 starts.
