Injury: Left ankle bursitis
IL date: Aug. 19 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2027
Status: Underwent season-ending surgery on Aug. 26. Will be in "a baseball progression" at the start of Spring Training, according to interim manager Andy Green, meaning the Mets expect to take him slowly. (updated Aug. 28) More >>
LHP Cionel Pérez
Injury: Left forearm strain
IL date: July 31 (15-day IL, retroactive to July 30)
Expected return: September at earliest
Status: Landed on the IL after throwing a 1-2-3 inning in Game 2 of a July 29 doubleheader against the Braves. The Mets are hoping he will return to the mound sometime in September. (updated Aug. 1)
