What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Athletics, May 5–7

Class of 2026 Celebration and Nurses Night presented by Temple Health; AUSL player Sydney Sherrill ceremonial first pitch; Plus, Retro Phillies Cap presented by SEI for all fans!

The Phils are back at Citizens Bank Park, beginning the homestand with a three-game series against the Athletics, May 5–7. Here are some of the fan highlights this week:

  1. The series kicks off with the Class of 2026 Celebration *at the 6:40 p.m. game on Tuesday, May 5, at 6:40 p.m.**Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.*
    • Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) player Sydney Sherrill will throw a ceremonial first pitch. Before the game, Sherrill will also participate in a jersey swap with a Phillies player, and a meet-and-greet with local RBI and UYA players.
  1. On Wednesday, May 6, at the 6:40 p.m. game, it’s Nurses Night presented by Temple Health!
    Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.
    • Learn about nursing career opportunities at the First Base Plaza with Temple Health nursing leaders and recruiters.
    • Before the game, Temple Health nurses will be recognized on field.
  1. Before the 6:40 p.m. series conclusion on Thursday, May 7, all fans will receive a Retro Phillies Cap presented by SEI.
    Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.
    • Plus, 6 schools will perform on field before the game as part of the Irish Dance School Celebration.
    • Also pregame, 9-year-old Amelia Roon will be honored as the Phillies Ballgirls “Ball Kid of the Month.”
    • At the end of the 3rd inning, Marine Infantry Captain Javier Diaz will be honored on-field as that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.
  1. For this series only, Ricci’s Hoagies is offering its “Old Fashion” Hoagie at Coca-Cola Corner in the Left Field Plaza.
    • This signature sandwich is served on a Liscio’s roll, with prosciutto, sopressata, roasted peppers, sharp provolone, lettuce, tomato, black pepper and oregano, paired with a Sprite.
