What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Brewers, September 22–24

Kyle Schwarber to be recognized as nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award, with voting underway; Plus, legend Ryan Howard to take part in a ceremonial first pitch and top Phillies minor league players and staff presented with year-end awards; Also, Art of the Game presented by Goya, Phillies Band Night and Harry Potter™ Night!

It’s the last homestand of the 2026 regular season! Come cheer on the Phillies during the hunt for Red October as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers, September 22–24, for a three-game set. Here’s a look at the fan highlights:

1. The series begins on Tuesday, September 22, at 6:40 p.m., as local artistry and baseball come together at Art of the Game presented by Goya.

Gate openings: 3B/LF 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.

    • Before the game, Kyle Schwarber will be recognized on field as the club’s Roberto Clemente Award nominee. Click here to vote for Schwarber for this prestigious MLB award, bestowed annually to the player who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.
    • Also, Sharon Kurfuerst, Executive Director of Temple Women & Families Hospital, will throw a ceremonial first pitch, caught by Phillies legend and 2008 World Series champion Ryan Howard.
    • Mural Arts Philadelphia will be at the First Base Plaza with a display from local artist Cesar Viveros, featuring unique baseball card designs for seven Latino Phillies players, highlighting their heritage and identities as baseball players.
    • As a celebration of its 90th anniversary, Goya’s National Director of Public Relations Rafael Toro will be presented a custom Phillies jersey.
    • The Phillies and Goya will recognize The Rumberos Jeep Club on field with the Goya Family Service Award. The club organizes and supports charitable events, community fundraisers, disaster relief efforts and cultural celebrations that bring people together in North Philadelphia while promoting pride in Latino heritage.
    • Sample Goya plantain chips and coconut water before the game inside the Left Field Plaza.

2. On Wednesday, September 23, at 6:40 p.m., it’s the 11th annual Phillies Band Night! A dozen local high school marching bands will perform on Citizens Bank Way before the game, and the Penncrest High School Roaring Lions will perform on field.

  • Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Representative Joanna McClinton will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
  • At the end of the 3rd inning, World War II veteran and Germantown, Pa., native William DiFrancesco will be honored as that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.

3. It’s Harry Potter™ Night at the 6:05 p.m. series conclusion on Thursday, September 24. Come dressed as your favorite witch or wizard and show your Hogwarts™ House pride. Plus, the Phillies will honor their top minor league players, scouts and coaches.

  • Enjoy Harry Potter™-themed activities on the concourse before the game, including Quaffle Toss at The Yard, a potion station at the First Base Plaza and a photo opportunity with Stella the Owl from Elmwood Park Zoo at The Break at Section 210.
  • Infielder Bryan Rincon and pitcher Alex MacFarlane will be recognized as Paul Owens Award winners, bestowed annually to the organization’s top minor league position player and pitcher.
  • Complex Coordinator Greg Brodzinski will receive the John Vukovich Award, presented annually to an instructor in the Phillies organization who embodies the characteristics of the award’s namesake: loyalty, dedication, competitiveness, knowledge, honesty and a terrific work ethic.
  • Phillies scout Carlos Salas, Coordinator, Latin America, will be honored with the Dallas Green Award. The award is presented annually to an amateur or professional scout who best exemplifies the Phillies’ standard for scouting while demonstrating the same loyalty, work ethic, dedication and passion as its namesake.

4. For this series only, Glenside Pizza from Glenside, Pa., will be offering The Smokehouse Crispy Chicken Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner.

  • This signature sandwich includes a crispy chicken breast piled high with smoky bacon, crunchy onion rings, sharp white cheddar and a drizzle of Bull’s-Eye BBQ sauce.
