Yankees-Red Sox in London today, 10 a.m. ET

June 30th, 2019

LONDON -- After producing a slugfest for the ages on Saturday, it will be interesting to see what type of encore the Yankees and Red Sox have in store for the fans in Game 2 of the inaugural London Series today.

The first pitch is at 10:10 a.m. ET. And judging by what transpired during New York’s 17-13 victory over Boston on Saturday, fans won’t want to risk missing any of the action today.

Fans watching on television in New York and Boston can take in the game over their Sunday brunches. Those watching it live will again be on their feet roaring, as was the case for the packed house of 59,659 at London Stadium on Saturday.

“It's been a blast. We're 1-0," Yankees slugger Aaron Judge said. "Coming out here and playing in front of these fans, the energy they've brought, from the anthem on I got chills. From our intros coming out with the flames and everything, all the way to the end with the fireworks, that was a special touch. My London experience has been great so far, and let's make it 2-0 tomorrow."

The Red Sox wouldn’t like that very much. They trail their rivals by 10 games in the American League East and can ill afford to lose again on Sunday.

“It was pretty packed, I’m going to give you that,” said Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts. “It was fun. I was looking forward to it. It’s more people than I thought [were] going to come. This is a good thing. I know the game got interesting toward the end. Hopefully it’s a tight game from the beginning [on Sunday], and they have another good one to enjoy.”

Here is all the info you need for Sunday’s finale.

How can I watch or listen to the game?
The game can be seen on ESPN.

In Boston, the game can be heard on the flagship station of 93.7 FM (WEEI). There will be a distinguished broadcasting trio of Joe Castiglione, Sean McDonough and Dave O’Brien.

Fans within reach of the Yankees’ radio network will be able to hear John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman on the call via 101.9 FM (WFAN) and its affiliates.

Who will be the starting pitchers?
Lefty , who is seemingly always trying to reach his potential, gets the nod for Boston in Sunday’s finale. As in all of his seasons, Rodriguez has displayed flashes of brilliance. The Red Sox would like to see it more often. With Rick Porcello getting just one out in Saturday’s loss, Boston could really use an extended outing from E-Rod.

The Yankees are sticking to their plan of using an opener, having announced that they will hand the ball to left-hander Stephen Tarpley. Right-hander Chance Adams is likely to be added to the active roster before Sunday's game, and he could follow as the bulk reliever.

What type of shape are the bullpens in?
Red Sox: Getting just one out from Porcello was about the last thing the Red Sox needed. Manager Alex Cora wound up using seven relievers. The one silver lining is that his two best relievers -- Matt Barnes and Brandon Workman -- didn’t pitch. Cora hopes to get the final six outs from them on Sunday. Boston has a day off on Monday before resuming play in Toronto on Tuesday.

Yankees: Every arm should be available save for Chad Green (44 pitches), thanks to the off-days before and after the London series. Nestor Cortes Jr. (58 pitches) wouldn't have been, which is why the club optioned him to Triple-A in favor of Adams.

Who is hot for both teams?
Red Sox: In the three games since moving into the No. 2 spot in the batting order, Rafael Devers is 9-for-13 with six doubles. Michael Chavis also comes in with confidence after smashing two prodigious homers on Saturday to account for a career-high six RBIS.

Yankees: The American League's leading hitter, DJ LeMahieu has been red-hot, batting .482 (27-for-56) with five homers and 18 RBIs during his 12-game hit streak. Gleyber Torres has also been a tough out, hitting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and 15 RBIs in his last 15 games.

Any injury updates?
Red Sox: Bogaerts left Saturday’s game in the eighth inning with cramping in both of his calves. However, Boston’s most consistent player this season is hoping to be able to start on Sunday.

Yankees: Luke Voit was removed in the fifth inning of Saturday's game with tightness in his left lower abdomen. Voit will be re-evaluated by the Yanks' medical staff on Sunday, though manager Aaron Boone said he is unlikely to be in the lineup.

Worth noting
• Part of the reason the Red Sox are so far behind the Yankees in the AL East is because they’ve been handled by their rivals in head-to-head competition. The Yankees are 5-1 against the Sox this season.

• The Yankees will look to extend their Major League record by homering in their 31st consecutive game. They’ve hit 56 home runs during their 30-game streak.

• Cora doesn’t get awed by much, but meeting the Royal Couple before Saturday’s game had an impact on him.

“I was so nervous, I was panicking,” Cora said. “I was getting instructions from [PR director] Kevin [Gregg] and I almost forgot [what to say]. I almost asked for a translator. Instead of speaking English to them, I almost spoke to them in Spanish. I was very nervous, but it was something special, unique and I know the guys, I think they got videos of it, so it was cool.”

• Judge is batting .350 (28-for-80) with eight homers and 14 RBIs in 20 games against Boston since the start of the 2018 season, including postseason.
