May 31st, 2022

On Tuesday, May 31, and Wednesday, June 1, the Phillies will continue their series against the San Francisco Giants at Citizens Bank Park. Below is a look at all the promotions and Phillies fun surrounding the games. Plus, see below for other need-to-know information including safety guidelines, cashless parking details, ballpark entry permitted items and more.

1. At Tuesday’s 6:45 p.m. game, be on the lookout for 350 four-legged Phillies fans, who will be coming to the ballpark with their fellow humans as part of the sold-out Bark at the Park presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

  • A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for this event benefits the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), which will also be on site with adoptable dogs at the break behind Section 210. Other highlights in this area include a Bark at the Park photo booth and caricature artist, as well as free samplings and information from Raw Health Canine Food (also at the First Base Plaza). Fans are encouraged to lend their support to PAWS with a donation from the following “wish list:” paper towels, trash bags (heavy duty/contractor only), bath towels and fleece blankets and canned dog, cat and kitten food (no dry food, please). Donation boxes will be located outside the First Base Gate.
  • In honor of the night, Basil DeCerbo, owner of Raw Health Canine Food, will throw one of the ceremonial first pitches. Also, Crisis Response Canines Max and Alma will be honored as Rothman Hometown Heroes, where they will take part in a base change at the end of the third inning. In addition, dogs will have some fun “dancing” with the Phillie Phanatic at the end of the fifth and seventh innings.
  • Also on Tuesday, Drew Robinson, retired MLB outfielder whose incredible comeback as a professional baseball player made national headlines, will throw one of the ceremonial first pitches in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. Prior to the game, Robinson will be speaking to fans in his new role as a mental health and wellness advocate during the Phillies Strike Out the Stigma Presented by Kitay Law Offices event. Robinson will talk about mental health in sports and share his inspirational story on how baseball helped him recover after he attempted to take his life in April 2020. For more information on the event, click here.
  • Other highlights: the Phillies will recognize Day of Game Employees of the Month on-field including Sean Chadwick, Phillies Ground Crew; Qadir Graham, Phillies Entertainment Staff; Dania Rivera, Phillies Hostess; Adrian Smith, Phillies Press Kitchen; and Brittany Dawson and Bernadette Layton from Aramark Concessions.

2. On Wednesday, June 1, get ready for some movie-themed fun as the Phillies host Top Gun Night before the 6:05 p.m. game against the Giants! The event is being held in celebration of the reboot of the ’80s classic film Top Gun. Taking part is actor Miles Teller, who plays Rooster in the newly released Top Gun: Maverick.

  • As part of the night, Teller will take the field to throw the ceremonial first pitch. Also, the first 1,500 fans that purchase tickets for this Top Gun Theme Night event will receive a voucher for an exclusive Phillies Top Gun Miles Teller ‘Rooster’ bobblehead.
  • At the end of the third inning, Chief Warrant Officer Bobby Schweikert will have the honor of changing a base as that night’s Rothman Hometown Hero.

3. Bid on signed items at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Auction to benefit ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia! Items autographed by Rhys Hoskins, Jean Segura and Zack Wheeler are among the memorabilia up for bid until noon on Saturday, June 4, via the MLB Ballpark App (available on iOS and Android devices only).
