What’s Happening This Week: Phillies vs. Nationals, August 7-10

On August 7-10, the Phillies continue their homestand with a four-game series against the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights:

1. The series begins on Monday, August 7, with that night’s 6:40 p.m. game, featuring the 14th Annual Phillies Italian Heritage Celebration presented by PrimoHoagies Theme Night.

  • Before the game, enjoy a performance by Munier Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra outside Pass and Stow!
  • The national anthem will be sung by Opera Philadelphia.
  • To help honor the Italian community, this event features a $6 discount off the regular price of tickets in select locations, with details here.

2. Escape to Citizens Bank Park for Margaritaville Night on Tuesday, August 8, at that night’s 6:40 p.m. game! Limited tickets also remain for the Phillies #CollegeSeries “Business of Sports Night” sponsored by Temple University’s Fox School of Business.

  • The first 1,500 fans to purchase tickets for Margaritaville Night will receive a voucher for an exclusive Phillies Margaritaville insulated stadium cup.
  • Jimmy and the Parrots will perform live music before the game in Ashburn Alley behind Section 148.
  • Also featured is the Phillies #CollegeSeries, where college students and recent graduates are invited to go behind the scenes in the business of sports with Phillies executives and special guests prior to the game, with registration information here.
  • Plus, fans are invited to donate non-perishable food at the First Base, Third Base and Left Field entrance gates as part of Rotary Strikeout Hunger Night to benefit Philabundance.

3. On Wednesday, August 9, the Phillies will host Deaf Awareness Night at the 6:40 p.m. game, which also features PAL Night at the ballpark, recognizing Philadelphia’s Police Athletic League.

  • Students from the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf will sign the national anthem, which will be performed by Bucks County native and Broadway veteran Jenny Lee Stern.
  • Recognized as the Rothman Hometown Hero will be 24th PAL Center Officer Paul Paugh, who will have the honor of changing a base at the end of the third inning. Also, PAL officers from local Philadelphia PAL centers will dance with the Phanatic in the 7th

4. The four-game series concludes on Thursday, August 10, with that night’s 6:40 p.m. game. Throughout the homestand, Phillies Charities is hosting its Online Auction, where fans can bid on team-issued and game-used memorabilia signed by current and former players until Monday, August 14, at 6:00 p.m.

  • Items are signed by former players including Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, Chase Utley and Cliff Lee and current Phillies Bryce Harper, Bryson Stott, Seranthony Domínguez, Garrett Stubbs, Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos, Zack Wheeler and Rob Thomson.
  • Gate Openings: Gates open at 5:35 p.m. for every game this series.
  • Broadcast: All games will be broadcast on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Thursday’s game will also be available on MLB Network (out-of-market only). All games will be broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680. Games will also be available on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com and the NBC Sports app.

  • Bag Policy: Guests are prohibited from bringing bags, including backpacks, to the ballpark. Only clutch purses (5" x 7"), fanny packs, medical bags, drawstring bags, clear or solid tote bags and diaper bags will be permitted. Medical bags, tote bags and diaper bags can be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8". Guests may discard or return the prohibited items to their vehicle or store them in a locker on Citizens Bank Way ($10 fee).
  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
  • Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay and Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
