What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Tigers, June 5-7

Phillies Aim to Raise Awareness and Funds on ALS Awareness Night presented by Cytokinetics;
Craig Kimbrel and Miguel Cabrera to be Recognized On-Field

Highlights include sold-out Behind the Diamond event, Greek Heritage Celebration and Dead & Company Night; Uber RideShare begins!

Come cheer on the Philadelphia Phillies as they return to Citizens Bank Park to host the Detroit Tigers on Monday, June 5, to Wednesday, June 7! Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding the games:

1. On Monday, June 5, the Phillies will honor the legacy of Lou Gehrig, as well as the tireless work of The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, during the ballpark-wide ALS Awareness Night presented by Cytokinetics at the 6:40 p.m. game. Highlights of this special event include:

  • An on-field tribute at 6:15 p.m. recognizing several patients who are battling ALS. Also taking part will be ESPN Senior Writer Tim Kurkjian, whose brother has ALS.
  • Cytokinetics will present a $5,000 check to The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter and more.
  • ALS patients will also be treated to major league experiences such as changing a base (end of third inning) and dancing with the Phillie Phanatic (end of fifth inning).
  • Plus, all fans will receive a handout that highlights the important work of The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter.
  • Fans can support efforts by taking part in the Phillies Charities, Inc. 50/50 or purchasing Phillies grab bags, which will include autographed memorabilia and Phillies giveaways, for $30 at the First and Third Base Gates.
  • There will also be a Phillies Charities, Inc. online auction, along with an ALS Awareness Night Theme Ticket, with $4 per ticket going back to the cause.

2. Also happening Monday, former Phillies Nick Maton and Matt Vierling will be presented with their 2022 NL Championship rings by Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton and President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski.

  • It’s also Miller Lite Monday! Fans 21 and older are invited to stop by Miller Lite Liberty Landing (lower level of the left field scoreboard) for a headband with the purchase of a Miller Lite (while supplies last).

3. On Tuesday, June 6, Craig Kimbrel will be recognized before the 6:40 p.m. game for his recent historic achievement of becoming the eighth pitcher in major league history to earn 400 saves.

4. Calling all Deadheads: rock out at Dead & Company Night on Wednesday, June 7, at the 6:05 p.m. game.

  • Prior to the game, the band Jawn of the Dead will perform behind section 148.
  • Also happening on-field: the Phillies will honor and congratulate Tigers’ first baseman Miguel Cabrera on his retirement before his final game at Citizens Bank Park.

5. Epic Foods Inside Out Cheesesteak Pizza will be featured at the new Coca-Cola Corner for the Tigers series only!

  • Epic Foods, offering a variety of flavors out of this world in the Philadelphia area, will be serving an Inside Out Cheesesteak Pizza, a fried, blend of cheese, blend of dough, cooked and chopped quality Philly cheesesteak product, for $13.99 at Coca-Cola Corner in left field.
  • Paired with the perfect Coca-Cola beverage, 5% of all purchases of the menu item will benefit Philabundance to help fight food insecurity.

  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area. The lot includes an Uber-branded lounge with seating and a charging station.
