ARLINGTON -- Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara left Monday’s 8-7 win over the Angels in the third inning with tightness in his left oblique muscle, and infielder Danny Santana exited in the fifth with tightness in his left hamstring.

The Rangers will know more before Tuesday’s doubleheader. But Triple-A Nashville infielder Nick Solak, Texas' No. 13 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, was taken out of Nashville’s game on Monday night, and could be brought to the big leagues if one of those two lands on the injured list.

“We're going to find out more tomorrow,” manager Chris Woodward said. “Danny's left hamstring tightness, says he should be fine tomorrow. We'll see if he comes in sore. Mazara is back-side oblique.”

Mazara is undergoing treatment and further evaluation. Joey Gallo dealt with a similar injury earlier this season, as he left a game against the Royals on June 1 with tightness in his left oblique and ended up missing 22 games.

“Kind of the same one Joey had, they just don't think it's as bad,” Woodward said.

Santana, starting at third base for the first time this season, hit a two-out double in the fourth off Angels starter Dillon Peters and seemed to slow up as he pulled into second base. He remained in the game as a baserunner, but was replaced on defense in the top of the fifth by Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

“So we can't really know until tomorrow, until they both come in and we can see how sore they are ... or if they feel fine,” Woodward said. “Danny swears to me he can play tomorrow, so we'll see. We can't really know until tomorrow.”
