Rangers statement on Fan Fest cancellation due to weather

January 20th, 2026

The Texas Rangers today released the following statement:

Due to the weather forecast for frozen precipitation in North Texas this weekend, the Rangers have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday's Fan Fest event at Globe Life Field in the interest of safety for players, fans, and employees. All fans who purchased tickets for Fan Fest will be automatically refunded in full back to the method of payment they used to purchase tickets.

Additionally, scheduled Winter Warm-up Week stops for Friday and Sunday have been cancelled due to weather concerns. The Rangers will complete the original Winter Warm-up Week schedule through Thursday's events.

"It's disappointing to miss these opportunities for our fans and players to connect this offseason," said Rangers Chief Business Officer Jim Cochrane. "After consulting with local weather experts, it was clear that this was the right decision. We will continue to seek opportunities to deliver for our fans and we look forward to the start of the 2026 season."
