Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company, FOX Sports Southwest and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will once again partner to provide grants to baseball and softball programs throughout the five-state region.

This season, the Rangers Foundation and Globe Life, with support from FOX Sports Southwest, will once again accept proposals for grants from nonprofit organizations that specifically support youth baseball or softball in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arkansas.

While the Rangers Foundation supports a number of other areas, this grant program and all applications should be limited to support of youth baseball and softball. Grants can be used for equipment, construction projects, field renovations, or other projects that help further the baseball and softball initiatives in that community. Grants are not given for travel expenses.

Organizations are asked to complete a proposal describing how funding from the grant will allow them to give youth in their area the opportunity to play either baseball or softball. The winners are selected based on need and the ability of the proposed program to improve baseball programs in their local areas.

In 2017, Globe Life and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation awarded grants to eight non-profit organizations in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Since the Grant Program started in 2012, The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, along with Globe Life and the support of FOX Sports Southwest, have awarded nearly $475,000 to more than 58 different organizations impacting more than 50,000 kids and 42 different communities through the Globe Life Texas Rangers Baseball and Softball grant program.

FOX Sports Southwest helps to promote the grant program throughout the Rangers entire television territory.

In February 2014, the Texas Rangers and Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company announced a 10-year agreement establishing Globe Life Park in Arlington as the new name for Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. As part of the agreement with the Rangers, Globe Life is making a substantial commitment to support youth baseball and softball programs in the Rangers' five-state territory by joining with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation in the grant partnership program.

On August 24, 2017, the Rangers and Globe Life announced an extension of their naming rights partnership establishing Globe Life Field as the name for the team's new ballpark that will open in Arlington for the 2020 season. The extension of the Rangers-Globe Life partnership goes through 2048.
