Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Globe Life presented 21 non-profit organizations across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma with a total of $125,000 in grants during pre-game ceremonies at the Rangers-A’s game on Saturday, September 9.

The 2023 grant recipients will use the funds to grow youth baseball and softball in their respective communities through construction projects and field renovations, purchasing new equipment, and expanding or establishing programming.

“The Globe Life Baseball and Softball Grant Program has impacted countless communities across our five-state viewing territory for the last 12 years, and it continues to grow as we received a record number of proposals in 2023,” said Karin Morris, Senior VP of community impact and executive director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. “We are incredibly thankful our partnership with Globe Life allowed us to fulfill 21 grant requests this year, bringing our all-time total contributions to over $975,000 in grants, furthering our mission to grow the games of baseball and softball.”

Organizations were asked to complete the grant application proposal describing how their youth baseball or softball program can benefit from funding. Grant recipients were selected based on need and the ability of the proposed program to improve youth baseball and softball programming in their areas.

Bally Sports Southwest helped promote the grant program throughout the Rangers' five-state television territory.

As part of its naming rights partnership with the Rangers, Globe Life has made a substantial commitment to support the growth of youth baseball and softball by joining the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation in the grant program.
