The annual Pride Celebration at Wrigley Field will take place Thursday, June 12, in support of the LGBTQ+ community. This vibrant event will feature local LGBTQ+ owned and friendly businesses at Gallagher Way, music and entertainment by DJ Lee Michaels, festive fan activities such as a photobooth and a face painting “glam station,” an on-field recognition for Center on Halsted, and more.
Businesses participating in the Pride Celebration at Gallagher Way include:
- Vichcraft: An independent art studio that crafts purpose-led pieces made by hand.
- Jennivee's Bakery: A local bakery that offers a multitude of sweet treats and beverages inspired by Filipino flavors.
- SOUNDOFF: A premium lifestyle apparel brand that uses graphics to inspire self-expression and individuality.
- Play Catch With A Dad: A group of dads who come together to uplift members of the LGBTQ+ community by playing catch and offering hugs to show support.
Before the game, the Windy City Gay Chorus and Treble Quire from the Windy City Performing Arts will sing the national anthem, and Babett Peter and Ella Masar from Chicago Stars FC will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
To participate, fans are encouraged to purchase a ticket to the June 12 game through the Pride Celebration Special Ticket Offer which comes with a special-edition Cubs Pride jersey, made customizable with special Pride heat press patches available at Gallagher Way pregame. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will benefit the Center on Halsted, dedicated to advocacy and advancing the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community of Chicago and throughout the Midwest.
