DENVER -- The health update was positive for three Dodgers pitchers on Saturday.

threw a bullpen session in preparation for what will be a second Minor League rehab start, manager Dave Roberts said. Kershaw will decide whether that start takes place for Triple-A Oklahoma City or Double-A Tulsa, probably on Tuesday night.

Kershaw is on the injured list after left shoulder inflammation set back his Spring Training.

threw a 20-pitch bullpen session, the first time off a mound since he strained his left knee on March 17. Hill threw fastballs and curves at full effort and said he’s ready to extend it another 10 pitches Tuesday in another session off the mound.

Roberts said Hill “felt” the torque in his knee, but not pain. He’s still perhaps three weeks away from returning.

“Everything was good,” Hill said. “Felt good. The arm’s feeling great.”

Hill did not drop down for a sidearm pitch. It was on a sidearm pitch that Hill first felt the injury. He threw in a protective brace, and he said he’s still uncomfortable with the brace.

“Love to get rid of it. Love to be pitching,” Hill said.

Roberts also said he is optimistic reliever escaped injury when a line drive deflected off his glove and hit him on the right wrist Friday. Kelly left the game after the play. X-rays were negative, and he tested the wrist before Saturday night’s game.

“He said he’s expecting to pitch tonight,” Roberts said of Kelly. “In a perfect world, I’d prefer to stay away from [using] him tonight.”

A long time coming
The home run hit Friday night came eight years and 270 days after his previous Dodgers home run. That gap is the fourth-longest in club history for a Dodgers player between home runs and third in Los Angeles history.
