LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers on Saturday recalled right-handed reliever JT Chargois from Triple-A Oklahoma City, restoring the roster to 25.
Chargois was 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA in an earlier Dodgers stint. Manager Dave Roberts said that he thought Chargois showed potential prior to being sent down on May 23.
"I think, early, the Chargois we saw was very good," Roberts said. "Fastball, very good. Slider sharpness, really good. Then I think there was a point where he lost the command, overthrowing the slider which ended up just backing up on him consistently."
In 11 games with Oklahoma City, Chargois logged a 1.80 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP, allowing three runs across 15 innings.
"From what I understand, he's been better," Roberts said. "So hopefully, that reprieve down there allowed him to reset, and hopefully we'll see a different JT."

Chargois takes the place of starter Walker Buehler, who was optioned to Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga minutes before Friday night's game, too late to call up a replacement.
Buehler needs to rebuild arm strength after missing 19 days with a rib microfracture. Roberts said he thought Buehler would likely make two starts before returning to the Dodgers' rotation, but noted it's contingent on how the right-hander is feeling.
"To get built back up and to put him in the best spot, those are the things we have to consider," Roberts said.
Turner, Taylor rested Saturday
Both third baseman Justin Turner and shortstop Chris Taylor were held out of the Dodgers' starting lineup Saturday against the Rockies. The contest marks Los Angeles' seventh of an 11-game homestand.
Turner and Taylor have each been limited at some point this season due to injury. Turner began the season on the DL with a broken wrist prior to being reinstated on May 15. Taylor sustained a hamstring injury at Chicago on June 20 that restricted him to pinch-hitting duties. He was restored to the starting lineup against the Cubs Thursday.
Roberts expressed difficulty with the decision to remove Turner -- whom he's previously referred to as his club's best hitter -- from the lineup, but deemed it necessary.

"I think how we've managed him the last three years on days we've played 10, 12 days in a row, to find that day in the middle of that chunk to break it up into a four- or five-game piece, that's what we're trying to do," Roberts said.
Sidelining Taylor comes with less reservation, as Enrique Hernandez entered the final day of the month having slashed .263/.349/.539 with six home runs and 12 RBIs through 25 games (18 starts) in June. Roberts said the decision was made to keep the utility man off his feet.

"He's played two in a row with a hamstring [ailment]," Roberts said. "We play a day game tomorrow, so to think he's going to play four in a row, with the day game after the evening game [is unlikely]."
Roberts said both players will return to the lineup Sunday.
Bullpen updates
• Right-hander Pedro Baez (right biceps tendinitis) threw a bullpen session Saturday. Roberts said Baez threw at around 30 pitches at 80 percent intensity.
• Left-hander Tony Cingrani (left rotator cuff strain) will throw a bullpen session "within the next couple of days," according to Roberts. The session will last 20 pitches. The club will determine the next step in his rehab afterwards.
• Right-hander Josh Fields is expected to return to the club when he is eligible to come off the DL, Roberts said. Fields is "supposed to take a few days of no throwing" before ramping up activity.
