Speedy recovery: Sick Dodgers return to camp

March 2nd, 2018

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Dodgers manager Dave Roberts on Friday welcomed back all 26 players who were stricken during this week's norovirus outbreak, downplaying the impact to the team's preparations for the season.
Roberts said the club had not determined the origin of the contamination, although the focus is on the whirlpool, which was used by 22 of the 26.
A hazardous materials team scrubbed the facility on Wednesday.
Roberts said the returning players would have a light workout on Friday and not return to game action until Monday.

Roberts said shortstop , who hasn't played the field while rebuilding arm strength, still has enough time to be ready for the season.
"It's a minor setback, I don't think it's much of an issue," said Roberts.
, who hasn't caught because of right elbow soreness, will return behind the plate as soon as Monday, Roberts said.
, who was scratched from Wednesday's start due to illness, could start in a "B" game on Monday against the White Sox.
Roberts gave the day off Friday, one day after he threw a 25-pitch simulated game. How do you get that kind of schedule?
"Dominate hitters and have 45 saves [for] four or five seasons," said Roberts. "We'll do [that] with some other guys so they can get away."
Jansen's game debut will be March 9. He is scheduled to pitch in only three games before the season starts, Roberts said.
