Shohei should teach a drama class after this reaction to a 75 mph hit-by-pitch

So you've probably heard there's not much can't do on a baseball field. Even off it, he's a published children's author. And maybe someday, if a hit-by-pitch on Sunday afternoon was any indication, there may be an acting role in his future.

With one out and one on during the seventh inning of the Dodgers' game against the Cardinals, a sweeper got away from reliever Justin Bruihl and caught Ohtani on the lower back. The pitch only registered at 75 mph, but by the cry Ohtani let out you might have thought it was triple-digit heat.

"That was a little dramatic for that 75 mph sweeper," Dodgers play-by-play man Joe Davis cracked.

Indeed it was, though it shouldn't be too much of a surprise from Ohtani, one of the most expressive players in baseball. Just ask his manager, Dave Roberts, who recently did a spot-on impersonation of Ohtani's signature reaction face. Or if you don't trust Roberts, see it in action for yourself when Ohtani reacted to Francisco Alvarez putting his body on the line by jumping out in front of the plate to prevent a pitch clock violation.

Okay, maybe that Ohtani reaction was actually warranted.
