Friday was a banner night for the Guardians’ talent pipeline.
While No. 1 prospect Travis Bazzana hit his first career leadoff homer and fell a double shy of the cycle against the Rangers, three other ranked Cleveland prospects -- Juneiker Caceres (CLE No. 9), Alfonsin Rosario (CLE No. 14) and Aaron Walton (CLE No. 17) -- produced multihomer games at their respective levels.
Caceres was instrumental in Single-A Hill City’s 6-5 win over Fredericksburg at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, leading off the game with a homer and then swatting a lead-flipping blast in the top of the ninth.
One of the youngest players at the Single-A level, the 18-year-old Caceres has made waves since he joined the Guardians out of Venezuela as part of the 2024 international signing class. He’s slashing .297/.389/.505 with five homers and more walks (17) than strikeouts (13) over 131 plate appearances for the Howlers this season.

Walton also hit a clutch late-inning homer on Friday, crushing a three-run dinger in the top of the eighth to give High-A Lake County a 9-7 lead over Fort Wayne at Parkview Field. Walton went 2-for-4 with a pair of dingers and four RBIs on the night, helping the Captains to an 11-8 win.
Selected in the second round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of Arizona, the 22-year-old Walton now has 11 homers, 42 RBIs, 13 steals and a .943 OPS over 50 games in ’26.

Double-A Akron’s game against Chesapeake at Prince George's Stadium was less of a nail-biter, thanks in part to Rosario’s huge night. The 21-year-old reached base five times and drove in seven runs in the RubberDucks’ 19-3 win, hitting a two-run homer in the second, an RBI double in the fifth and a grand slam in the ninth.
Acquired from the Cubs for right-hander Eli Morgan in November 2024, Rosario has homered three times and driven in 11 runs in his past two games. The 2023 sixth-round Draft pick has an .886 OPS to go with nine homers and 28 RBI over 36 games this season.
