Milwaukee Brewers Bring Creativity To The Field With Youth Sneaker Beyond The Diamond Event

Each year, the Milwaukee Brewers roster dedicates a day to go Beyond the Diamond, making a community impact by supporting youth throughout Milwaukee.

Local teens from Running Rebels and Jazale’s Art Studio collaborated with Brewers players, coaches and staff on the warning track at American Family Field to customize Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.

With excitement buzzing, players immediately greeted the teens with smiles, quickly jumping into conversations and brainstorming creative designs. Along the warning track, stations were set up with different materials to customize the shoes. In partnership with the Sole Revival, Operation Kicks and None Above, the kids and players were able to paint, tattoo, stamp Brewers logos or add customize laces to make each pair of sneakers unique.

“This is one of the team’s favorite activities of the year. Getting the chance to interact directly with teens, work alongside them to create something special and partner with Running Rebels and Jazale’s Art Studio helps ensure kids in our community feel supported and celebrated,” said Brewers Vice President – Community Relations Katina Shaw. “This hands-on project fosters teamwork and connection while giving kids an opportunity for creativity and self-expression. It’s a responsibility we take seriously and one our players, coaches and staff truly enjoy.”

Running Rebels is a nonprofit organization that supports at-risk youth by providing mentorship, academic guidance and programs that promote positive life choices. Jazale’s Art Studio is a creative space that empowers youth through art education and mentorship.
