Philadelphia schools take a STEM field trip to Citizens Bank Park with PGW

While the team’s up in Boston, hundreds of students from Philadelphia schools took a field trip over to Citizens Bank Park for a fun-filled “Science of Baseball” event with the Phillies and PGW.

Students were divided into five groups, going around the ballpark and participating in activity stations teaching a variety of STEM topics, including Measurements & Stadium/Uniform Design; Reaction Time & Fielding Percentage; Launch Angle & Home Run Path; Aerodynamics, Air Resistance & Coding; and PhanaVision.

The students came from Abram S. Jenks School, Feltonville Intermediate School, Feltonville School of Arts & Sciences and Middle Years Alternative School.
