Up and coming UYA athletes celebrate National Letter of Intent Signing Day

Moving on up! Earlier this month at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies celebrated a major milestone for local student-athletes as area high school seniors from the Phillies Urban Youth Academy signed their letters of intent to play college ball. The event, hosted by the Phillies Youth Baseball & Softball Development team, took place in The Yard at Citizens Bank Park, with families and coaches of the honored players in attendance.

The Phillies Urban Youth Academy provides free, year-round instruction to Philadelphia-area players.

Congratulations to all these young athletes for taking the next step to college baseball and softball!
