Munenori Kawasaki Delivers Incredible Post Game Interview

I squealed. I yelled. I jumped. I smiled. I cheered. And I ran around the MLB Fan Cave when Kawasaki hit the game-winning hit that gave the Blue Jays a walk-off win over the Orioles. The Blue Jays ended up scoring four runs off of Orioles closer Jim Johnson to get the win.

After the game, Arash Madani spoke to Mark DeRosa, who attributed the win to the Japanese player and pulled him over. Kawasaki, who knows very little English, playing in Japan for most of his professional career, took the microphone and stated, "I am Munenori Kawasaki. I am Japanese player. He then grabbed his notes, and said, "it was an honor to hit the game winning-hit." The sentence was followed by his Blue Jays teammates pie-ing him in the face and dumping Gatorade all over him. He ended with his arms proudly raised in the air, as the crowd cheered loudly for their hero.

It was without a doubt not only one of the best ninth innings I have ever seen, but also one of the best post-game interviews.
