More than 60 former Phillies players, coaches and legends will return to Citizens Bank Park for Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend as the team takes on the Toronto Blue Jays in a three-game set, August 7–9. Here’s a look at the highlights surrounding this fun-filled series, which closes out the homestand:
1. Be in your seats by 6:15 p.m. for Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame Night honoring Chase Utley on Friday, August 7, as the club’s greatest second baseman takes his permanent place in Phillies history before the 6:40 p.m. game.
Gate openings: 3B/LF 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.
- Phillies Wall of Famers will return to Citizens Bank Park to celebrate Utley, a six-time All-Star and four-time Silver Slugger.
- Also in attendance will be Utley’s 2008 World Series champion teammates, including Pat Burrell, Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins.
- The All City Orchestra Summer Academy will perform on-field.
- Phillies Managing Partner and CEO John Middleton will present Utley with his Phillies Wall of Fame ring, before No. 26 addresses the crowd.
- Finally, Utley’s commemorative plaque on the prestigious Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame will be revealed, a tradition that began in 1978 at Veterans Stadium, before “The Man” takes his victory lap around the warning track.
- The on-field ceremony will be broadcast live on phillies.com and NBC Sports Philadelphia.

- Also before the game, Ewing Sarcoma bone cancer survivor Gavin Yonce, 10, with the Challenged Athletes Foundation, will throw a ceremonial first pitch, on behalf of Toyota.
- Prior to the first pitch, Miller Lite 12 oz. cans will be available at Miller Lite Liberty Landing for $6.99. The first 250 fans to purchase through this deal will receive a Phillies- and Miller Lite-branded beverage wrap.
- Toyota vehicles will be on display outside the Third Base Gate and inside the First Base and Left Field Plazas throughout the weekend.
- Enjoy games and giveaways from theScore Bet at the First Base Plaza.
- At the end of the 3rd inning, Phillies Wall of Famers will take the field to do a ceremonial base change.
- The Phillies will honor Joann Outten-Kenton, a 4-time paracycling national champion, as that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero at the end of the 6th inning.
2. Before the 6:05 p.m. game on Toyota Alumni Saturday, August 8, Chase Utley will return to the field to throw a ceremonial first pitch, with fellow 2008 World Series champion Carlos “Chooch” Ruiz behind the plate.
Gate openings: 3B/LF 3:35 p.m.; all other gates 4:35 p.m.
- Enjoy the pregame Budweiser Block Party with DJ HBK at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148. Plus, Rothman Orthopaedics will offer games and giveaways inside the Third Base Plaza.
- At the end of the 3rd inning, the team will honor that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.
3. The series concludes on Sunday, August 9, with Toyota Phillies Alumni Day at the 1:35 p.m. game, featuring a ceremonial first pitch inspired by the MLB at Field of Dreams.
Gate openings: 3B/LF 11:05 a.m.; all other gates 12:05 p.m.
- Be in your seats by 12:50 p.m. as more than 60 former Phillies players take the field, including Hall of Famers, Wall of Famers and World Series and National League champions.
- Among those being honored will be 2026 Hall of Fame Buck O’Neil Award winner Bill White, who played for the Phillies from 1966-68 before becoming the first sports anchor for Action News in 1970.
- The on-field ceremony will also feature a special tribute inspired by the upcoming MLB at Field of Dreams game, as the Phillies honor four former players who reached the major leagues, wore a Phillies uniform and were active on the club’s roster, but never appeared in a regular season game.
- Catcher Tim Gradoville (2006), pitchers Tim Lahey (2008) and Jeff Singer (2022) and infielder Will Toffey (2022) will take the field as part of this moment that calls back to the memorable Moonlight Graham storyline from the iconic film.
- The pregame event will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
- Phillies legends Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins will host a live episode of The 6-1-1 Podcast at Pass and Stow. Fans are invited to join the experience, which will feature surprise special guests.
- Be on the lookout for former players throughout the ballpark taking photos, guest bartending, shooting hot dogs and more.
- A representative of Big Brothers Big Sisters will throw a ceremonial first pitch, on behalf of Toyota.
- At the end of the 6th inning, EJ, a Little Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters, will be honored on-field as that day's Toyota Hometown Hero.
