Missed entire season after suffering partial rotator cuff tear that required trio of arthroscopic right shoulder surgeries...final procedure was performed May 6 in Wilmington, Delaware by Dr. Craig Morgan, who performed similar surgery on Curt Schilling in 1999...began rehab program immediately following procedure...originally underwent debridement of labrum Nov. 8, 2002, arthroscopic surgery performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles...following extensive rehabilitation and one Spring Training appearance, was placed on Disabled List prior to club's season opener in San Diego March 31...underwent diagnostic arthroscopy and debridement of rotator cuff April 18, surgery also performed by Dr. Yocum in LA...when shoulder failed to respond, third procedure was recommended...was transferred to 60-day DL July 13...lone appearance of season in game conditions came during Cactus League play March 29, when he worked 1.0 inning against Oakland at SBC Park.

2002

Had injury-plagued campaign at Tulsa, which included 3 stints on DL and only 6 starts....had tightness in right elbow April 17 vs. Arkansas...had arthrogram April 20 to remove scar tissue which had formed from September 1990 surgery (bone chips)...was sidelined until June 10...was 0-2 with 7.62 ERA in 3 starts and was placed back on DL after feeling pain in elbow June 28...returned July 8, allowing 4 runs in 5.0 innings vs. Arkansas...was summarily placed on DL for remainder of season...had bone spur removed from elbow July 24.

1990

Split campaign between single-A Charlotte and Tulsa...opened season on Charlotte's Disabled List with strained right forearm...made 2 starts after being activated from list April 26...landed back on DL May 6 with sore right elbow...returned to action May 24...had 2 bone chips removed from right elbow Sept. 26.

1989

Posted 4th lowest ERA (2.41) in South Atlantic League, while pitching for Gastonia...finished 7th in league with 46 strikeouts...tied for 1st on club in starts (24) and was ranked 2nd in innings pitched (138.1)...averaged 9.5 strikeouts per 9.0 innings, 2nd best in circuit...held opponents to .195 batting avg., 3rd best in league...did not pitch after Aug. 24 due to sore right shoulder.

1988

Opened season with Gastonia before being assigned to Butte June 17...finished 2nd on Butte club with 13 starts.

1987
